Sharing is Caring

Today Emmy and her once a week, preschool classmates had a post Valentines party. Each child got a chance to share a little valentines treat with their classmates. It was great to see all twenty kids smile as they took turns in receiving a goodie and giving one to a friend. As their bags filled with up, we parents smiled in agreement as we watched our little ones learn a rewarding lesson of sharing and caring for one another.

Surprisingly enough, a majority of the children didn’t devour their treats.  Instead they went around acknowledging their old friends and new ones with a “thank you” and little hugs. It was a refreshing sight to see especially with the commercial hype that accompanies occasions like Valentines or Christmas.

Here are some of my personal favorite treats from Emmy’s goodie bag.

This one said: “So glad we go to the same school.”

Lil and Emmy were also happy to have a bite of these sweet cupcakes from Mommy and Daddy. 🙂
