“Oh What A Beautiful Morning! Oh What A Beautiful day!”

The rain and gloomy weather have both subsided and the sun’s out! Its been over a week since I took Emmy out to the park. Today, was a good time to go to the park and shake off our cabin fever.

On our way to the park’s playground, we were pleasantly greeted by these three friendly ducks. 🙂 Emmy was delighted. It was the first time she’d seen ducks up close and personal. And they just wanted to hang out. I felt bad we did not bear any gifts (snacks) for them but they didn’t seem to mind.

Emmy and I bid our webbed feet friends farewell and headed for the swings. (But story doesn’t end there…)

After a few rounds at the swings and slide. We decided to play at the sandbox. And guess who met us there.

Emmy would say proudly, “They’re my friends Mommy.”

Our three little duck friends watched Emmy dig through the sand. They dug too with their beaks. Their excavations were unsuccessful, so they eventually decided to take a nap. Emmy noticed her friends’ inactivity and said, “Ssshhh, mommy, they sleeping.” We took our exit.

Hope we see them again soon!

The first shot has your shadow in it! Love how it’s the both of you!

  3. Oh, that’s so cute that your little daughter wanted you to be quiet, because the ducks were sleeping. 🙂 Boy, you really did get close to them, that’s great! With the warmer weather here now, my kids are enjoying lots of popsicles, and some of them come with jokes printed on the sticks. They’re silly, of course, but your post called one to mind: “How does the mallard fix things? With duck tape!” Hee hee.
